Why a trading journal matters
Most traders know they should journal, but writing everything down by hand doesn't last. A good journal does the boring part for you: it pulls in your trades, works out the numbers, and points at the patterns you can't see from the inside, like the revenge trade after every loss or the setup that only works before lunch.

Questions
Is Traced really a free trading journal?
Yes. Journaling, analytics, the prop desk, imports and NinjaTrader auto-sync are free with no trade limit. The free plan makes up to 3 share cards a day and keeps one saved card background; Pro ($4.99 a month or $39 a year, paid plans open after the beta) removes those limits.
Which platforms does it work with?
NinjaTrader (automatic sync with a free add-on, or file import), Tradovate (file import, or API sync on live accounts with Tradovate's API add-on) and most brokers through a CSV file.
Do I need to install anything?
No. Traced runs in your browser on phone and computer, and you can add it to your home screen like an app. Only NinjaTrader auto-sync uses a small add-on inside NinjaTrader.
Is my data private?
Your journal lives in your own account and only you can reach it. You can download a backup or delete your account whenever you like. Read the privacy policy.
